About Us
HoopJustice is committed to educating and accelerating racial equality among our rising youth.
How might your perspective on an issue change if you switched places with someone from an oppressed or disadvantaged group?

Our story begins with the blending of two cultures. One of the blessings of a mixed marriage is allowing you to experience life from an entirely different perspective. This has certainly been the case for us. The once casual or nondescript remark indeed may be discriminatory or racially insensitive. Unfortunately, these undertones still exist in our society today.
The discovery of the book “Just Mercy” authored by Bryan Stevenson ( Equal Justice Initiative ) was the catalyst in our decision to initiate a nonprofit for social Justice. My love for the game of basketball, coupled with Luisa’s passion for equality resonated within.
The French philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville is quoted by saying “America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.” It’s our hope that all of us can “do good” to forward our Democracy for all!
Please join us in advancing the cause for those who are marginalized in our society. Thank you for your time and contribution regarding HoopJustice.
Stay lifted,
Kelley & Luisa
